Wear your scars like jewels: Umar (LA), enemy of God and His Holy Prophet and Ahlulbayt (AS)
zuleikha reblogged your video: Why do shiites hate Omar Ibn al-Khattab?!
I just..I can’t. Sub7anAllah. This is ‘Umar ibn Khattab he’s talking about. The first caliph of ISLAM. May Allah protect…
I guess the original reblog got deleted, because it said it wasn’t there when I tried to read the rest of this.Based on what little of it I could read above, I have the following to say:
Let’s get real. First of all, Umar (may Allah throw his face into the Fire) KILLED FATIMAH AL-ZAHRA, the Best Lady of All the Worlds, and her unborn child! He changed so many sunnahs, I couldn’t even count them on both hands!
Secondly, the Umar was not the “first caliph of Islam,” he was the SECOND, ILLEGITIMATE caliph of a corrupted, baatil distortion of Islam, and according to every reliable narration of the Holy Imams of Ahlulbayt, he is currently occupying a space with Abu Bakr (LA) and Iblis (LA) in a coffin, in a well, in the deepest pit of hell, from which well God will ignite the whole of hell.
Sister, I beg of you, even read some of your own books and you will see what a monster this ‘man’ was. Half of the Bakri ‘sahih’ narrations consist mainly of him going around shouting at people and hitting women!
There is just no wiggle-room here. I am sorry.
Then again, I would honestly suggest you at least watch the video. If you disagree with the proofs that are presented (as is your God-given right), then please say so, and perhaps there can be some productive dialogue, insha’Allah ta`ala.
silentlydrawn: You seem really impassioned about this at the moment so I just want to preface this with the sentiment that I’m not trying to “challenge” you. I just want to convey my point of view. I’ve read about a lot of the horrendous things that Umar has done. I’ve also read about some of his better judgments. Before I write anyone off, I always want to thoroughly conduct my research. While Umar and Abu Bakr were by no means saints, they were companions of the Prophet (pbuh) and to write them off as the same as Iblis is highly erroneous. We don’t know it all. We weren’t there. There’s a level of arrogance in your posts about this issue that should be toned down.
‘Companion’ is a meaningless title in and of itself, because its value depends entirely on its operational definition. Some of the Prophet’s companions, who did good things and did not commit any major sins or transgressions deserve our respect, such as Abu Dharr, al-Miqdad and Salman, may God’s mercy be upon them all. Other ‘companions’ committed major sins and corrupted the religion, and these people—out of love for our Prophet and his itrat, as well as by command of those same personalities toward tawalla and tabarra—deserve our unmitigated hatred, disdain and condemnation. Nothing of what I have posted is simply a matter of my own opinion, and all of it is based on the classical scholarship of our ulama and, more importantly, on the words of the Holy, Purified Ahlulbayt. Yes, I am passionate in my love for the Prophet (SAWA) and, by the same token, in my hatred for his enemies. However, if you disagree with any of the evidence I’ve presented, by all means, point out where I am in error. Otherwise, it is not difficult to prove, narrations aside, the kufr of some of these so-called ‘companions,’ which is exactly why Surat al-Munafiqun exists. “When you see them, their bodies impress you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. Yet they are like dry logs set reclining [against a wall]. They suppose every cry is directed against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah assail them, where do they stray?!” (63:4).
Otherwise, by the logic you appear to be presenting (and perhaps I have misread it, as I’m certainly not free from error), we should never speak ill (that is, speak the facts) regarding personalities such as Mu`awiyah (LA)—after all, he was one of the Prophet’s companions. In fact, by the definition most Sunni scholars use, Abu Sufyan (LA) was one of the Prophet’s companions!
